Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aprovement web and mobile applications (the "Service") operated by Aprovement ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or interfere with the Service.
  • Use the Service to generate content that violates any law or regulation.
  • Share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents, messages, and other content you upload or create through the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service — including sending excerpts to AI providers (OpenAI, Google) for generating responses, flashcards, quizzes, notes, and other study materials.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content. We do not sell Your Content to third parties. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate study materials, answers, flashcards, quizzes, and notes. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before relying on it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any purpose.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

6.1 Free Tier

The Service offers a free tier with limited usage. Free-tier limits may change at any time.

6.2 Pro Subscription

Paid subscriptions ("Pro") provide unlimited access to features. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose.

6.3 Web Payments (RevenueCat Web Billing)

Web subscriptions are processed by RevenueCat Web Billing. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the subscription management link provided in your account.

6.4 Mobile Payments (App Store / Google Play)

Mobile subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are governed by the respective store's terms. To cancel a mobile subscription, use the subscription management in your device settings.

6.5 Refunds

Web subscription refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at the email below. Mobile subscription refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their refund policies.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is owned by Aprovement and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aprovement shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content, loss of data, or interruption of service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Aprovement is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
